1904 Menasche and Samuel Kadetsky

Again, thanks to the Ellis Island excellent online record collection, we have found the following:

First Name: Menashe

Last Name: Kadetsky
Ethnicity: Russian, Hebrew
Last Place of Residence: London
Date of Arrival: Jan 03, 1904
Age at Arrival: 23y Gender: M Marital Status: S
Ship of Travel: Saint Louis
Port of Departure: Southampton
Manifest Line Number: 0028

and, travelling with him:
First Name: Samuel

Last Name: Kadetsky
Ethnicity: U. S. Citizen
Last Place of Residence: London, England
Date of Arrival: Apr 24, 1904
Age at Arrival: 24y Gender: M Marital Status: S
Ship of Travel: Saint Louis
Port of Departure: Southampton
Manifest Line Number: 0002

According to these records, Samuel was a US Citizen. Did he go to pick up his brother or cousin Menasche to bring him to the US? Were they in London on business, or chose to meet there? Lots of questions we might never be able to answer.

We now know that Menasche became Max in the US and lived in East Aurora NY where he ran a tailor's called Max Kadet's.
