Lillian Kadetsky Brown
As mentioned in the previous post Lillian Kadestky (b. 1892) married Isadore Brown (b. 1894). The is the second Brown Kadetsky marriage, as Sussman Kadetsky married Augusta Braun. Lillian's parents are transcribed as Jake and Celia Kadetsky and Isadore's parents are Morris and Eva Brown. They married on November 9, 1914.
By the 1920 US Census, they had moved to Chicago. Sussman Kadetsky had brothers in Chicago as well. Isadore (b. 1885?, nat. 1905) and Lilly Brown (b. 1893, nat. 1905) had Morris (b. 1915), Freida (b. 1917) and Francis (b. 1918). Isadore worked as a Tailor. They lived at 726 Paulina Street, Chicago, Il.

Kadetski Wolfe Weinstein
It's been a long time. I have been collaborating with a researcher on geni.com on the Wolfe-Kadetsky tree. Sarah Sadie Wolfe's parents were Jacob Kadetsky and Chane Kalma as per her death record. Through various records on this blog, I have shown that Sarah had a sister Bertha and brother Abraham. Today, I reviewed some old notes and found a marriage record for Bertha Kadetzki and Judah Weinstein. Bertha's parents are listed and Jacob and Chanah Kadetzki. Searching on FamilySearch I located Julius Weinstein's naturalization. One of his witnesses his Sarah Wolfe's husband Solomon Wolfe, who also was a witness for Sussman Kadetsky's naturalization in the 1880s! Following this lead, the 1910 Census shows a niece Lillian Kadedsky, 17 yo, who immigrated in 1904. I located a 1914 marriage record for Lillie Kadetzky to Isadore Brown who moved to Chicago, Ill. Her parents are listed as Jake and Celia Kadetzky. I am unsure if this is the same Lillie listed in the 1910 Census.

Hyman Kadetsky Reappears!
Thursday, 29 January 2015
Who is Hyman Kadetsky and where did he go?
The second record of Hyman's existence comes from his wife's death certificate, https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QV9J-V1S2 . Ruth Kadetsky nee Lent died on January 4, 1976 and was buried on January 6 at the Westlawn Cemetery. Her parents names were Wolf Lent and Tzivia Karneson. She was a widow. She was born December 27, 1900 in Poland. Named on her death certificate is Arthur Kadet.
I have a strong suspicion that this Hyman Kadetsky is in fact the son of Abraham Kadetsky and Necca Karniszyn of Everett, Massachusetts. They had a son Hyman Kadetsky, born February 28, 1891 in Biezun, Poland. On the 1920 Census he lived with his parents in Everett Massachusetts but then all traces all him disappeared. Until now? Did he marry and move to Chicago. Was his wife a relative through his mother's family (Karneson vs Karniszyn)? Here is his World War 1 draft registration card. https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1961-25977-7654-53?cc=1968530

Sierpc Yizkor Book Translation Complete!!!!
Here is the email from Sandra Kirsch, one of the translation coordinators:
"Dear friends,
I am delighted to share wonderful news about the Yizkor Book for Sierpc,
Poland. Translation of this 600-plus page volume is now complete and it
is online in its entirety at
http://www.jewishgen.org/yizkor/Sierpc/Sierpc.html
I am indebted to Dorothy Lipsky, who shared with me the project
coordination and editing of this extraordinary volume. We had the
benefit of the masterful translations of Alex Weingarten (Hebrew
sections) and Jerrold Landau (Yiddish sections), each a joy to work with.
We are deeply indebted to Perry Rosenstein and the Puffin Foundation
(Teaneck, NJ) for financial support. And of course we acknowledge the
incomparable support of Lance Ackerfeld and his team in making our
work available to all.
If you have ancestral roots in Sierpc or nearby communities (e.g.,
Zuromin, Rypin, Raciaz, Plock) I encourage you to access the translation.
The amount of detail and the quality of the writing are superb. Much of
it is heartbreaking, but all is illuminating.
