I've been told this was a Bar Mitzvah gathering. It was around 1945, soon after my grandfather Gustave had died (which is why Nanny Gert looks so sad. She is in front there on the right). My father was in the army.
Front to back, left to right (only people deceased are named - none of those still alive have given me permission yet):
left: Israel Hymoff, far right: , Gertrude Hymoff. The three boys in front are still with us, as is Gertrude's daughter, sitting at her side...
Row of ladies in the middle (left to right): Sara, Charlotte, Dora, Gracie.
All the way in back: Dave Lesser, Arthur Book, Sam Rosenberg, Etta Book (Dora's stepdaughter), Bobbie Schildmeier and Sara's son.
